Teachers can change the world

  1. This is a call now to BarackObamaTeam to STOP pulling the race card themselves, and halt encouragement of racism around the nation. His behavior as a president is shameful, divisive, and backward. Matin Luther King Jr is not smiling upon Barack Obama!
Because Barack did not even try to accomplish his 2008 campaign promises, many of us have lost faith in his capacity to follow through, to lead a free nation forward. I lost faith in him after his first year-and sent him very specific feedback through moveon.org survey. He proceded to make it worse economically, internationally, and now racially. Divisiveness is not the work of a true president. Clearly he is living his father's dreams. This however is not colonial Africa. What would have worked for Kenya then should have stayed in Kenya. Marxist thinking and behaving may fit Kenya and Nairobi.
This entire year, Barack's 100+ campaign trips have been rabble rousing events...attemtps to convince listeners that people who achieve success had help...and the government helped them. It's taxpayers taxes that provide support for those on entirtlement programs. Government does not generate income-it takes income from those who work and pay taxes.
Barack Obama's thinking is the counter-example to urban educator thinking that spurs and supports kids to keep striving, keep on keeping on until they succeed. His message has become the antithesis of self-reliance and hard work advocated by myself and my dedicated, hard-working, self-sacrificing urban educators.
And his pulling out-like he did with Hilary Clinton in2008, has only worsened. There is one race...the human race-unless we think like Barack Obama and find it expedient to attibute political disagreement to race. Or are we seeing much more readily these days into his head...and as he revealed in Dream From My Father- his personal racial attributions, alliances and engagement in a purely racial paradigm. Developmentally stuck, Barack. My disagreement with his disempowering stand on human development, has nothing to do with race. It has everything to do with my unadulterated intention to do all in my power to preserve and protect equality of opportunity (not his intent to legislate equality of outcome...THAT is counter human nature, counter healthy psychology, counter successful education, counter the American Dream. his thinking, actions, policies stem the tides of pervasive, significant advances made visibly, palpably, and steadily in and by our amazing nation.
